Professional Ethics Studies

This collection is projects that earn 0.25 - 0.7 CEUs in the specialization category of Professional Ethics.  Some state certifications requires this specific study category.  The projects in this collection fulfill this requirement.  Certificates with Professional Ethics study category are given to anyone who needs it, as well as RID Professional Studies CEUs.  RID CEUs are overseen by RID Sponsor: Ginevra Deianni.

The current options are:

VIDEO LEARNING PROJECTS:  The project for Ethics study in our Video Learning Series is the:  Professional Ethics option.  

For these projects, you watch 90 minutes of videos which you choose from our YouTube Channel collection. (Link is given to you upon registration).  You take notes on what you watch and then write up a 2-3 page double-spaced explanation of what you learned and how it applies to your interpreting work to turn in for credit. If you need more than 0.3 CEUs for Ethics, you can register for several of these projects at the same time to earn 0.3 Professional Studies CEUs for each (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, etc. - you simply choose different videos from our collection for each "Part").   Cost: $42/project.   CEUs: 0.3 RID CEUs in Professional Studies/Ethics Studies per project.

NOVELS:  The novels in our ethics collection are: 

For these projects you purchase & read this book independently and answer the questions given to you upon registration and send your work back for 0.7 CEUs in Professional Studies.  Cost: $82/project

• Ethics for the Real World: Creating a Personal Code to Guide Decisions in Work & Life:  This book examines the core of our value system, challenges us to analyze why we believe what we do, write out a personal moral code, and apply it to our behavior as professionals.  *This is an ethics study specialization for those who need it, in addition to RID Professional Studies CEU credit.

DOCUMENTARY FILM:  The film in our ethics collection is: "(Dis)Honesty: The Truth About Lies", which is available on Netflix and on YouTube for free.  

You watch this film and answer some short answer questions to show you have watched the film and considered it's application to the interpreting profession. 0.25 CEUs in Professional Studies/Ethics Studies.  Cost: $32
